Selection Sunday is upon us which means March Madness is about to happen.  I’ve seen hundreds of tourney games over the years and there have been thousands of memories.  But, as hard as it was, I’ve narrowed it down to 5.  These are my Top 5 Favorite or at least most memorable, NCAA Tourney moments.  [...]

1. Michael Stanton, OF – Stanton is probably the second best hitting prospect behind Jason Heyward. The only issue is his strike outs, but he’s got the power to be an All Star corner outfielder. Don’t expect him this year, but he could start next year in Miami.
2. Logan Morrison, 1B – Morrison [...]

Cricket and some football and other stuff. It’s a short one. Enjoy the View.

Baltimore Orioles – American League East
2009 Record: 64-98, Last Place (5th) in American League East, 39 Games Back
2009 Review:
The Orioles had high hopes for the 2009 season, unveiling new uniforms with an updated Oriole on their caps, new patches and new road uniforms. However, sometimes new uniforms do not lead to positive [...]

Olympics, cricket, AFL, netball… Yep! It’s sport time in Australia! And it’s yet another view!

More Winter Olympics (from an Australian view point), more cricket and more other sport. It’s another view!

Last week I was writing about the Greatest Sports Rivalries of All Time.  This was in terms of Team vs Team rivalries.  But that got me thinking….there are some fantastic Individual Sports Rivalries, as well.  So, as I’m wont to do, I’ve created my Top 5 Individual Sports Rivalries of All Time list:
1) Muhammad Ali/Joe [...]

A brief one as I have become caught up in the spectacle that is the Winter Olympics. Still, enough sport here for everyone. Enjoy the view!

Yes, more wrestling. And more sport. And an Aussie perspective of the Superbowl. And, thanks to popular demand, a brief guide to the game known as Australian Rules Football! (And watch Underbelly!) This is the View!

The Toronto Raptors after having a dismal start have had a recent boost and have moved four games over .500 for the first time since last year. They have beaten teams like Dallas, Los Angeles and Orlando on their way to their success.
They have had improved playing from Hedo Turkoglu and Andrea Bargnani as well [...]

More sport from the land down under with minimal wrestling content.

I was pleased to see that Jason Worilds has received an invitation to the NFL Combine next month.  A Combine invitation means that he is on the radar, so to speak, and thus has some draft potential.  As of now, Mel Kiper does not list him as one of the top 5 at his position, but [...]

Orlando has managed to make 6 ft. 11 in., 265-pound man disappear. How is that for a Magic trick?

I went to what was one of the most hyped local wrestling shows in a long time. Men in lycra rode bikes for a long time. Other people played with balls. It’s another view!

A lot of cricket, tennis hits its only time in the sun in this country, some guys ride bikes and some other things. It’s the view!

It’s the best of the Noughties in Australian sport! Countdown 25 to 1 and see what I thought was Australia’s crowning sporting moment!

Catching up after holidays! Oh, and my fantasy wrestling draft PPV entry is included for your perusal.

To start off the new year, here is the first edition of the NBA power rankings, showcasing the eastern conference.
15. New Jersey Nets- They shouldnt be 3-30 with the amount of talent that have. If they can select John Wall in the draft, and get a few decent free agents, they could be contenders.
14. Washington [...]

Most decades end with a “Best of” recap but every best of has a worst of that is rarely mentioned. Steroids has marred sports for a long time but it was not in the spotlight until mostly notably Mark McGwire was caught with a bottle of nutritional supplements. Unfortunately this bottle wasn’t your [...]

As the 2000s come to a close let’s look back at the fantasy players who made the biggest impact in their respective sports.
I lead off with the fantasy football player of the decade since it is the most popular fantasy sport. I had a tough time deciding between Peyton Manning and LaDainian Tomlinson. They both [...]

A short one as Christmas slows things down. Cricket scores, other scores and I give away another sport I enjoy way too much.

Cricket, wrestling and V8s were great! Soccer still infuriates! And this is a day late!

C.J. Watson, PG/SG, Golden State Warriors
Golden State has been hit hard by injuries this year making their rotation thin. Pretty much anyone in that rotation is a worthy fantasy option. Watson is no exception. Last week he 15.3 [...]

Nate Robinson, PG/SG, New York Knicks
Nate escaped from D’Antoni’s doghouse by averaging 18.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals, and 2.8 three-pointers in four games last week. He shot 56.6 percent from the floor and hit all [...]

It’s cricket time and the West Indies are playing in a test match against the Aussies! So what is this focused primarily on? That’s right – Football! What a view!

Before we get started, check out this week’s fantasy basketball roundtable (click to read the article). Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night. You can also check out next week’s NBA schedule to help you set your fantasy lineup (click to read the [...]

It’s rant city! What’s wrong with soccer! What’s wrong with greedy Australian Olympic officials! What’s wrong with telecommunications! I clearly hate everybody! ARGH! And it’s long. Sorry, everyone…

Dahntay Jones, SG/SF, Indiana Pacers
Jones averaged 19.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.0 steals, 1.8 blocks, 0.5 three-pointers, and 2.3 turnovers last week while shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 76.9 percent from the line. He has [...]

Cricket, of course, dominates, but there’s also golf as some guy named Tiger came to Aus. And other sports. Come in!

Cricket is everyhwere, and Riot City Wrestling went off! Plus cars and rugby and even some praise for golf. Yes, it’s View 68!
